The Fair Isle Cardigan is a really easy-to-wear, reliable piece. Choose it oversized for a relaxed look or a size to fit more closely; either way, it’s a reassuringly warm and comfortable everyday garment.
These are garments that give warmth, that stay with you. They are made with love, honouring the craft and knitting traditions to be found only on Fair Isle. All items are knitted on flat-bed knitting machine and finished solely by hand. The design use only traditional Fair Isle patterns with a purposeful embrace of modern colour and form. Everything is knitted in locally produced 100% Shetland wool, spun and dyed on the Shetland mainland.
Hand-washing with gentle wool soap in cold water is recommended. All items need to be set flat to dry (no dryer).
Once ready to process your order, you will be sent a library of yarn colours in stock. You will then receive a digital version of the knitting swatches so you can choose your favourite. Motifs are as shown on this picture. Measurements will be requested from––accuracy is important to ensure you are getting the correct size knitted for you.
